The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) has issued a statement condemning the hostile reception faced by Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing’s team principal, Christian Horner, during Formula 1’s season-launch event in London. The event, held at the O2 Arena, was intended to celebrate the sport’s 75th anniversary and featured all ten teams unveiling their 2025 season liveries. However, the occasion was marred by sections of the 15,000-strong audience booing Verstappen and Horner upon their appearances. In response to the incident, an FIA spokesperson expressed disappointment, stating: “Great rivalries throughout the history of motorsport have contributed to making it such an exciting experience for fans.
