Rob Edwards could be eyed for the West Ham United position, as Luton Town leave is speculated.

According to Sam Matterface, West Ham could be looking for Rob Edwards, the manager of Luton Town, to replace David Moyes. Edwards has received widespread plaudits for leading Luton to the Premier League and given them a fighting chance of staying there.

Moyes, meanwhile, appears ready to leave London Stadium when his current contract expires in a little over a month. Matterface asked Edwards on talkSPORT’s Premier League All Access podcast [26 April, 42m 26s], “Do you think he’d suit someone like West Ham?” Do you understand what I mean? It feels like a West Ham thing to do. West Ham United may be interested in him.
Journalist Alex Crook then indicated that Gary O’Neil may be a better choice for United, stating, “I think Edwards is more likely to go to Wolves if Gary O’Neil ends up at West Ham.”

Many of the names associated with the Irons position – which, it should be noted, is not yet empty – have piqued our interest.

Someone like Thomas Tuchel or Ruben Amorim may potentially push the Irons to the next level, albeit the latter appears to have squandered the club’s resources.

Other names, however, are less inspirational. Matterface’s point of view is understandable, as Edwards plays an engaging style of game and is quite personable.

If the Hammers are to split ways with one of their most successful managers, they must do better than hire a manager from a bottom-three team. You would like to believe that David Sullivan and his team are working furiously behind the scenes to find a replacement, even if Moyes has still to decide on his future. If the individual is Edwards, there will be a lot of angry Hammers fans.
