Burnley vs. Tottenham: Expected lineup, official team news, and the most recent injury updates

In an attempt to snap a four-game losing streak, Tottenham will face Burnley at home on Saturday. Ange Postecoglou will make a lot of selection decisions.

Oliver Skipp may fill in at left-back after practicing there over the past several weeks. Emerson Royal was at fault for two of Liverpool’s goals in the team’s 4-2 loss at Anfield last time out.

After sitting out the last two games, James Maddison is striving to get back into the starting lineup, and Postecoglou will probably rotate between Rodrigo Bentancur and Pape Sarr in the middle. After a strong showing off the bench against Liverpool, when he scored one goal and assisted another, Richarlison should be called up, with Heung-min Son probably moving to the left wing.

Dejan Kulusevski and Brennan Johnson are vying for a spot on the right wing. Fraser Forster, Ben Davies, Destiny Udogie, Timo Werner, and Manor Solomon are all still out for Spurs, so there are no new injury concerns.

Predicted Tottenham XI (4-3-3): Vicario; Porro, Romero, van de Ven, Skipp; Bissouma, Sarr, Maddison; Johnson, , Richarlison, Son.

Injuries: Davies, Udogie, Forster, Werner, Solomon

Time and date: 3pm BST, Saturday May 11, 2024
