Report: Broncos’ departure Phillip Dorsett, WR, and IDL Rashard Lawrence

The Broncos released two veterans to make room for the upcoming rookie class.
The Denver Broncos have released veteran wide receiver Phillip Dorsett and defensive tackle Rashard Lawrence, according to Mike Klis of 9NEWS Denver.
Ben DiNucci, the team’s quarterback, was let go earlier this week, and the two veterans have since moved on. The Broncos had to reduce their roster to 90 players in order to sign their rookie class and formally announce that they had signed 13 undrafted free agents.

Former first-round selection Phillip Dorsett joined the Broncos practice squad prior to the season and played in two games, making one start, for them last year. In these two games, he saw just three targets and did not record a reception for the Broncos. Now that Josh Reynolds was signed by the team and Troy Franklin was selected, Dorsett found himself the odd man out in the receiver group.
