It was crazy when Howard Stern got into a fight over his father’s glass eye.

According to Howard Stern, he got into an argument with someone about his father’s glass eye. The shock jock shared his childhood memory with hosts Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett during an interview on the SmartLess podcast, which was filmed live last month and released on September 16.

“I remember when I was five years old, a child on my block came up to me and said, ‘My parents told me your father has a glass eye.'” We got into a fist fight because I was so terrified out,” Stern remarked. “I beat him up; it was perhaps the only battle I ever won. It was absurd.”

The Howard Stern Show star went on to say that he forced his mother, Ray Stern, to tell him what had transpired because his father, Ben Stern, was “inapproachable” on the matter. “I broke her down,” he stated, emphasising, “It was a terrible accident when my father was young.”

“I broke her down,” he stated, emphasising, “It was a terrible accident when my father was young.” “He put some film in a bottle, and it exploded,” the 70-year-old said. “He lit it, and it exploded in his eye when he was a little kid.”

Still, Howard Stern said his dad “had a fabulous attitude about his eye.” He claimed, “I didn’t see any evidence that he saw himself as handicapped,” but he acknowledged that it must have been a major source of suffering for him. It’s a really significant ache, I promise you. It was a serious problem.”

Newsweek emailed Stern’s publicist to get further information. Hayes mentioned in the podcast that his mother had a glass eye as well, but he didn’t know why until after she passed away.

In a 2019 opinion post for USA Today, Hayes stated that his mother Mary Hayes, who passed away in 2018 from Alzheimer’s disease, was incredibly unselfish. “My mum was constantly giving of herself and her time, and she never liked getting attention or being thought of as needy,” he stated. “In her mind, everyone else’s happiness was far more important than her own, and she would drop everything to be there for anyone or anything,” Hayes said.

The Howard Stern Show, which became extremely famous when it was widely syndicated on terrestrial radio, helped Howard Stern launch his career in radio in the 1970s. He started listening to SiriusXM in 2006.

“It was a very strange time because there was an effort by regular radio to say what a failure I would be, and they were putting out that anyone who went to satellite radio-your career would be over, you would disappear forever,” the native of New York told SmartLess. “So, there was a significant effort to disparage satellite radio. However, I had a gut feeling that satellite radio would succeed.
