JUST OUT: Zach LaVine’s victory over the Milwaukee Bucks makes Chicago Bulls…

Zach LaVine’s victory over the Milwaukee Bucks makes Chicago Bulls history.

Zach LaVine does not seem to have much of a future with the Chicago Bulls. But the two-time All-Star is certainly a significant part of the franchise’s history.

LaVine joined the Bulls in 2017 and while they have not enjoyed much success as a team over his time with the organization, the 29-year-old has put up some solid numbers regardless. The Bulls earned themselves their first win of the season when they defeated the Milwaukee Bucks.

LaVine had a solid individual night. He had 25 points, 5 rebounds and 1 assist to his name. Coby White, Nikola Vucevic and Josh Giddey put in good performances as well. LaVine went 9-15 from the field and made two of his six three-point attempts. In the process, he became the second player in team history with 1000 made threes with the Bulls. The first one to do so was Kirk Hinrich who had a couple of long stints in Chicago.

He was drafted by the Bulls in 2003 and stayed till 2010. He would then return in 2012 and had another run in the Windy City till 2016. Overall, Hinrich made 1049 three-pointers for the Bulls.

It is very likely that LaVine will get to that record soon unless he ends up getting traded before that. It is believed that the Bulls have been trying to trade LaVine for some time now. But his recent injury history combined with his massive contract has made it difficult.

LaVine’s trade value is on the rise right now though, as he is proving that he remains a dynamic scorer at this level. Do not be surprised if the Bulls are successful in finding a trade partner for the 29-year-old at some point this season.

Beyond the victory itself, LaVine’s performance reflected the shift in the Bulls’ team dynamics. In recent years, the Bulls have struggled to reclaim the dominance they enjoyed in the ’90s. Yet under the guidance of head coach Billy Donovan, coupled with the additions of young talents and seasoned veterans, the Bulls appear to be on a steady trajectory towards competing for a playoff spot. LaVine’s victory over the Bucks was a powerful testament to this progress, signaling that the Bulls are no longer a rebuilding team but a squad capable of standing toe-to-toe with the league’s elite.

The win also resonated deeply with the fanbase, who have waited for a moment like this—a moment that blends hope with history. LaVine’s contributions on the court have established him not only as a star but as a symbol of the Bulls’ future. His relentless drive to improve, combined with his passion for the game, has endeared him to fans who are eager to see the Bulls return to their former glory. As LaVine walked off the court, he received a standing ovation from the United Center crowd, a fitting tribute to his unforgettable performance.

Zach LaVine’s victory over the Milwaukee Bucks was more than just a regular-season win. It was a statement—a message to the league that the Bulls are back and that LaVine is ready to lead them. In a game that will surely be remembered by fans, LaVine’s heroics have carved his name into Chicago Bulls lore, adding a new chapter to a franchise with a legendary past and a promising future.
