Tottenham moves up to fourth place in the Premier League after defeating Luton.

In the English Premier League on Saturday, Son Heung-min’s late goal gave Tottenham a 2-1 victory over Luton, keeping pressure on Aston Villa to finish in the top four.

In the 86th minute, following a brief interval, the South Korea captain decided against letting Spurs’ first home draw against a Luton team fighting for survival. He completed the move with a deflected shot.

Tottenham, who will later host Wolves, is now tied for fourth place with Aston Villa on points.

There is just one point separating third-place Manchester City and top-ranked Arsenal when they play one another on Sunday. On the same day, Brighton hosts Liverpool, who are in second position.

Tottenham paid a heavy price for their lackadaisical play in the first half as Tahith Chong completed a brilliant team move. Spurs equalised in the 49th minute after Timo Werner placed pressure on defender Issa Kabore, causing him to inadvertently put the ball in his own net.

In the second half, Kabore made up for his error by making significant blocks as Tottenham pushed for a victory, which was eventually achieved five minutes from the end.
