Joe Rodon, a central defender for Tottenham Hotspur, is set to be sold during the summer transfer window.

Football Insider claims that the North London team is prepared to let go of Joe Rodon this summer. The Welsh defender has been outstanding as the Whites pursue promotion to the top level while on loan at Leeds United in the Championship.

Rodon, who is 26 years old, has made 40 appearances for Leeds so far this season. According to the report, he will probably make the move to Elland Road permanent when the transfer window reopens in the summer; however, this would depend on the division the Yorkshire club plays in the following season.

In all competitions, the Welsh international has made 24 appearances for Spurs since arriving from Swansea City in 2020. He was sent out to Elland Road again last summer after spending the previous season on loan at Rennes in France.

Spurs are reportedly open to proposals for the central defender that fall between £10 and $15 million, as they want to raise money and keep their finances stable.

Rodon has also lately been connected to Newcastle United, as the Magpies have experienced a number of long-term central defensive injuries in recent weeks.

Rodon is not expected to surpass Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven in the Tottenham centre-back ranks, even with his strong performances in the Championship this season.
