After Tottenham sold Harry Kane for €100 million, Heung-min Son expressed sadness as Bayern Munich severed a crucial “connection.”

Heung-min Son says he was “really saddened” by Tottenham’s €100 million (£85 million/$106 million) sale of Harry Kane because their unique “connection” was shattered.

Consequently, what happened?

In the summer of 2023, Spurs regrettably decided to split ways with their all-time top scorer. After failing to bring Kane the major trophy he so desperately wants, the decision was made to approve a large-scale trade with Bayern Munich.

With that agreement, Kane and Son’s fruitful on-field collaboration came to an end. The two now own a Premier League record for the most goal combinations ever, having taken it from Chelsea legends Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard.

SON’S COMMENTS ABOUT KANE
Son, who assumed the captain’s armband for the 2023–24 season and is now leading from the front at Spurs, said to TNT Sports that he no longer had a dependable comrade at his side: “Me and H, we had something different.” a relationship that lasted for almost ten years. We knew where we were since we were playing in nearly the same positions. We had really high expectations. It was an extremely unique bond. It was truly an honour to play with him. He’s among the best in the world, in my opinion. I was quite saddened by his departure, but it was a wise move on his part. He has scored over 30 goals since joining Bayern, and I hope he can continue to do so.

KANE’S FUTURE WHAT COME FIRST?
Despite scoring 39 goals in his own right during his first season at Bayern, Kane runs the risk of not winning any big awards this season. While Spurs are attempting to secure a top-four Premier League finish, the Champions League is still the last title they can win.
