JUST IN!: Dortmund forward ‘intrigued’ by Arsenal and Liverpool

Dortmund attacker Donyell Malen has drawn interest from Arsenal and Liverpool.

Manchester United withdraws from the competition to recruit a Dutch international.

In the Bundesliga this year, Malen has scored eleven goals.

A report claims that both Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in signing Donyell Malen, the forward for Borussia Dortmund, and that they may have to fight for his services.

The Dutch forward, who is rumored to be looking to leave the Bundesliga, has been linked to a number of elite Premier League teams.

The 25-year-old, whose transfer fee is between €40 and €50 million, is reportedly being considered by Liverpool and Arsenal, according to Sky Germany writer Patrick Berger.

In order to revitalize the team before Jurgen Klopp leaves, Liverpool will be depending on the efforts of Michael Edwards, who is back and currently serves as FSG’s CEO of Football. Edwards seems to think that Malen would fit well with their offensive approach. Malen reportedly wants to know who will be the new Reds boss before he considers moving to Anfield.

Malen might be considered by Liverpool as a potential Mohamed Salah substitute. According to 90 Minutes, the Saudi Pro League is expected to extend a substantial offer to the Egyptian this summer.

Arsenal, who is vying for the Premier League crown, is also showing interest in signing the winger, who was in their development system for two years.

Many have speculated that Arsenal, who has previously been linked to Ivan Toney of Brentford, may be looking for a forward this summer. The Gunners, who lead the Premier League table with 70 goals overall, have demonstrated that they may not require a new center forward.

Malen, an Eredivisie winner with former team PSV Eindhoven, has stated that the Gunners are a “solid option,” according to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg. He might not be the only Bundesliga transfer joining the squad; Joshua Kimmich is reportedly being considered by Arsenal as well.
