The favoured team to sign Ederson, an Atalanta midfielder who has also been connected to Juventus and Tottenham, is reportedly Atletico Madrid.
Diego Simeone has the Brazilian at the top of his want list heading into the summer to strengthen the park’s centre, according to the Spanish daily Marca.
They are willing to pay Atalanta’s €30 million asking price for him because they are so focused on defeating the opposition.
Along with his more costly colleague Teun Koopmeiners, Ederson has also drawn interest from Juventus and Spurs.
With 36 competitive games played for La Dea this season, the former Salernitana player impressed with six goals and two assists. His contract is set to expire in June 2026.
He was acquired from Salernitana in the summer of 2022 for €21.4 million, and he will turn 25 in July.
Ederson moved from Corinthians to Salernitana in January 2022 for a transfer fee of €6.5 million. In just six months in Serie A, his worth surged.
