Marc Guehi, a defender for Crystal Palace, has been linked to Tottenham Hotspur during the January transfer window.
Midway through the season, though, the Eagles refused to let go of the central defence. Several elite clubs are keeping an eye on him because he has shown to be one of the Premier League’s top young defenders.
At the end of the season, the 23-year-old might very well be on the move. Give Me Sport reports that Crystal Palace believes the defender may have played his final game with them. The defender is expecting to return to full fitness before Euro 2024, as he is presently recovering from a knee ailment.
The former Chelsea defender is unlikely to be offloaded before the European Championship, and Crystal Palace will likely be hoping he makes an impression at the international competition to command a high price for him.
The defender was also a top target for Manchester United and Newcastle United in January. When the season comes to a close, it will be intriguing to watch if all three clubs choose to renew their interest in the player.
Spurs’ defence might be strengthened by the addition of another capable central defender. Guehi is accustomed to the Premier League and might immediately enhance them. Tottenham is in a good position to qualify for the Champions League, and the 23-year-old will aim to play at the greatest level. It would also allow him to stay in London if he joined them.
