“It didn’t work out the way I would have liked to add a tight end,” stated Shanahan.

Therefore, the 49ers must work to develop the players they currently have. They’ll be looking to Brayden Willis and Cameron Latu to step up. Latu, who was selected in the third round of the previous draft, ought to be the best choice. He ought to be Shanahan’s main backup, but he’s not getting any favours.
