The 49ers’ Top Free Agency Selections

Now let us order the best three.

There have been better 49ers signings than bad ones. The top three are listed here.

1. Leonard Floyd
In place of Nick Bosa, he quickly establishes himself as the 49ers’ best pass rusher ever. Indeed, superior to Dee Ford, who was never fully fit while playing for the 49ers. He played just 378 games and started just two games over his three years on the squad. Floyd, meanwhile, has not missed a game in six years and has had at least nine sacks in four consecutive seasons. He is an exceptionally reliable pass rusher. He is not particularly good as a run defender, but the 49ers signed someone else to give them an advantage.

2. Yetur Gross-Matos
Since Samson Ebukam left, he has emerged as the 49ers’ greatest edge-run defender right away. Additionally, like the 49ers used defensive ends Arden Key and Charles Omenihu in previous seasons, Gross-Matos has untapped potential as an inside pass rusher on third downs.

3. Dobbs Joshua
He immediately establishes himself as the 49ers’ best backup quarterback since Brock Purdy. Because he is so inexpensive, does not strive to be the starter, is content to be a backup, has starting experience, is incredibly intelligent and decisive, can evade pressure and scramble, and can win with the 49ers when called upon, Dobbs is a perfect fit for the team. He is basically Purdy’s ideal backup, given how similar their playing styles are. Fantastic signing.
