According to sources, Premier League football player Axel Tuanzebe needed surgery after slashing his hand during a kitchen mishap while doing dishes. Supporters of Manchester United will be familiar with Tuanzebe, who played for the team for 17 years before leaving in the summer of 2023 to join Ipswich Town.
However, Tuanzebe was not present for Ipswich’s 4-1 loss to West Ham on Saturday due to an unexpected event in which he nearly lost his thumb. When a glass shattered while the 26-year-old was cleaning up, one of the fragments severely cut his hand, necessitating emergency care.
Prior to his bizarre injury, the former England U21 player and international defender from Congo started all six of Ipswich’s Premier League games. After seven games, the Tractor Boys have yet to win in the Premier League despite having a difficult start to the season. However, given that many fans and commentators have predicted that his team will fall, McKenna will undoubtedly be happy that his team is now outside of the bottom three.
After the international break, Ipswich’s next game is scheduled for October 19 at Portman Road against Everton.
